Prof. Francesco Caglioti (Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa)
Professor Caglioti is one of the world’s leading experts on Renaissance sculpture, especially on Donatello and his contemporaries. He curated the award-winning Donatello exhibition held at the Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, in 2022 (winner Apollo Magazine exhibition of the year). In this paper he will present his latest research on one of Donatello’s most significant sculptural ensembles, created for the high altar and choir of the Santo basilica in Padua.
